Why we are building this

Too many accommodation conversations begin with a simple yes-or-no question: “Are pets allowed?” Shared living is more nuanced. A household might welcome a small dog but not another cat, have a secure courtyard but no indoor pet access, or already have animals and be happy to share with a pet lover who doesn’t own one.

BringYaPet is designed around the details that matter to people and their animals. We want to make the first conversation better and help people avoid wasting time on an unsuitable room.

Who belongs here

• People who are bringing a pet with them.
• People without pets who would love to share with a dog, cat or other companion animal.
• Households offering a spare room with clear, honest animal rules.

An Australian-first idea

We’re starting with Australian rooms and housemates, with particular attention to making pet rules understandable. Listings and registration are not open yet while we complete verification, safety and moderation features.

We don’t claim to verify landlord permissions automatically or guarantee that animals will get along. Those are conversations that the people involved must confirm.
